Caroline Cajot - soprano Vincent Weymann - countertenor Christina Mura - baroque guitar Ieva Baltmiskyte - theorbo In ‘Lagrimosa beltà’, a lover reproaches the object of his affection for her coldness towards him. Great
Wunderschön gespielt und gesungen !!
Душевно! И с настроением! :-)
Prachtig!
beautyfull..
Beautiful ❤️
хорошее исполнение.
отличное исполнение. thanks so much.
Very interesting the fact that ancient composers wrote in a more horizontal way, breaking down the chords into almost endless melodies. I have listened a lot to the works of Antonio Abreu, Ferrandiere, Moretti and Padre Basílio, they were excellent.
What kind of instrument is this, a lute?
Beautifully done. Do you use the same right hand technique on Ren guitar as you use on lute?
So i wonder, in regards to fret spacing, what fret on a full size guitar would match the nut of this guitar?
Who is the luthier? good Job !
i wanna be your victim
Ieva Baltmiskute super. thanks so much. благодарю за отличное исполнение. надеюсь услышать исполнение на семиструнной гитаре.
Nice!!!
Totally cool
magnifique pièce de musique, merci..
What a charming little instrument!😀 That was fun. The black on black is working. 👍 Thank you Leva. I needed that.
I didn't know they had ukuleles in the 16th century! 😄
Beautiful collection of ren guitars! Who built the one you are playing? I'll really have to look into Adrian Le Roy again.... I have an adapted for ukelele book with his tunes!
Stately, beautiful, sonorous, precise, reverent and so much more. Aaaaahhhhhhh....
Hermosas folías, muy bien interpretadas
I love hearing you play. You have such a nice touch. Beautiful lute, by the way.
magnifique..
❤
What a big lute for lute music by Jacques Gallot.
Wow, nice fresh new lute! Looks good with you.👍 I love this chord progression. I never seem to tire of it. It’s almost five hundred years old and still inspiring. It always inspires pleasant improvisation. It’s good to see you here again. Thanks.🕊🌹🕊
Bello sonido Saludos Ieva, Roy
This lute is a piece of Art and your music a blow from the Gods...🌼
I'm glad you're posting again.
Lovely performance on a lovely instrument. You bring out a dark quality (in a good way) very appropriate to the piece. Who build the lute?
Du spielst wunderschön! Vielen Dank!
This takes me to a happy place. Top that Finland! 🥰
Thank you!
Ieva Baltmiskute отличное исполнени . если на русском не понятно то по английски thanks so much.
Очень очень хорошо!!! Очень красивая Гайо, и ваша лютня - прекрасный инструмент.
I thank you for the compiments Luca, but why would you write them in russian? Is it your mother tongue?
👏💖🎶💖
Excellent rendition in the spirit of that time on a very beautiful instrument, but cut off those wound-up string remnants! 😉You can sometimes see this in old images because the strings were delivered much longer than the scale of the instrument. This meant that a surplus could still be used. The 10/15 cm modern string that you did not cut off can no longer serve any purpose and is untidy. Thanks for making revive this beautiful soft soundscape.
How long does it take for a professional like you to learn a piece like this?
Much better on modern classical guitars, played with nails !!!!!!!!
There are reasons we dont play old Vienna Type Guitars anymore. The small bodies have a small sound, no heights, no bass. Also the Nail playing is standard since Aguado, more than 200 years ago. The sound here is bad, hear it on an after Torres Spanish guitar of today. We listen to Mozart also much better on a todays Grand Piano, not on a Cembalo or spinet . Nice playing but muffled sound here.
1. Don't use 'we'. You are not a representative of all guitarists. 2. You compare apples with pears. There are many guitars that sound different to what you call the 'standard'. Lattice bracing has its specific character, and why should that be a bad thing? Do you think you are smarter than the composers, luthiers and the audience in earlier days? Each period has its own colours, shapes and sound ideal. If you don't accept that, you will face a lot of frustration in your life.
Welcome back. Emotive interpretation. Do you find it difficult to switch from "lute right hand" to "guitar right hand"?
A lovely performance, beautifully paced. It's nice to see you back Ieva. I guess the guitar is a copy of an instrument from the time of Sor?
Muito bom!
Beautiful performance. This must be very close to how Fernando Sor actually sounded like.
nice..
beautifulsound and song!do you use nails?
A euphorically pleasant experience most welcome. It is good to see you are well. Every thing was perfect. Your outfit, makeup and hair, the instrument your performance. Wonderful effort. Museum quality. 🕊💐❤💐🕊
Glad you're back, missed your videos. Another great one
